Anyone who has been to Humla immediately sees the need for improved hygiene and sanitation. Indeed sicknesses like diarrhoea, acute respiratory infections, arthritis, malnutrition, etc. are wide spread while government health facilities hardly function or are of poor quality. THIS will focus on especially health promotion, sickness prevention, safer motherhood and HIV/AIDS as “Prevention is better than cure” and development is all about being able to properly take care of oneself.
THIS would hope to run medical treks to provide health care services to the peoples of remote rural villages by the experienced doctors and nurses in the future.
Would you like to join the journey to lift-up the livelihood of the people of Humla?
